A meeting of the Vice-Chancellor with the members of the subject committee held on 04-12-2014 at 11:00 a.m in the office of Vice-Chancellor Office of Islamia College, Peshawar.
After recitation from the Holy Quran, the Registrar, Prof. Dr. Sareer Badshah welcomed all the participants in the meeting. The Chair, Mr. Ajmal Khan, worthy Vice-Chancellor joined during the proceedings owing to his engagement in the ASRB meeting. Mr. M.S Abaseen Yousafzai being secretary of the central committee & sub-committees gave a presentation on so for progress made and future planning regarding Centenary Celebrations.( i.e 19,20 & 21 March 2014)
After discussion, following unanimous decisions were made for compliance:-
T-20/ T-10 Cricket Match (Pakistan- A VS Afghanistan-B) will played on March 19-2015 at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium/ ICS Cricket ground and the purpose of this match is fund raising ,Publicity of the cause, Entertainment, gathering of all old and existing students through tickets. In February 2015 tickets selling will be started. Registrar Office in coordination with Senior Alumni will approach PCB for the arrangement/correspondence of this event viz-e-viz Chief Guest Mr. Imran Khan and Guest of Honour Mr. Pervaiz Khan Khattak for day 1st.
The Vice-Chancellor asked that Governor/Chancellor, ICP along with other dignitaries will also be invited in centenary celebrations.
A letter for arrangement of Khattak Dance will be sent to Inspector General Frontier Crop.
All Print/Electronic Media will be contacted to give maximum coverage to this event.
Senior Alumni will arrange a march of ex-Islamians, who retired from Pakistan Army.
Mr. S.M Abaseen Yousafzai along with member of purchase committee will go to Lahore to procure gift items for the said event. He will contact Gowns making experts to provide samples for Vice-Chancellor approval. He will also be responsible to arrange temporary stall during the event and a permanent stall for selling Gift items like: Jackets T-shirts, P-caps, Neck Ties, Sticking monograms, Hand bands, Track suits, Hand kerchiefs, Purses (male + female),Mobile pouches, Burqa clips (brooches),Key chains, Key purses and Pens.
Lt.Col ® Jameel Ahmed, General Secretary Senior Alumni gave a brief presentation on Annual Calendar and Advertisement expenses, after modifications in Colander. The Vice-Chancellor, asked that the Colander for correct English will be vetted from Mr. Javed Iqbal, Asst. Professor, Department of English.
As already decided next meeting will be held on December 18,2015, all members of central committees and sub-committees will be invited and the worthy Vice-Chancellor will see the progress made until then.
The meeting was ended with a vote of thanks from and to the Chair.
