Pride for Islamia College Peshawar: Graduate Wins Felix Non-Indian Scholarship at SOAS

It is a moment of both pride and delight for us to announce that Mr. Izhar Azad, a graduate of the Department of Pashto, Islamia College Peshawar, has been awarded the Felix Non-Indian Scholarship for MA Linguistics at the prestigious School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, England.

It is noteworthy that only one Felix Non-Indian Scholarship was awarded at SOAS this year, and our proud alumnus, Mr. Izhar, successfully secured this honor.

Mr. Izhar completed his BS in Pashto in 2023 with an impressive CGPA of 3.75 and wrote his thesis titled “A Phonological Stylistic Analysis of the Ghazals in Darwesh Durrani’s Pa Kanri ke Hindara” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal, Chairman, Department of Pashto, Islamia College Peshawar. We expect that Mr. Izhar will continue his outstanding academic journey at this prestigious institution and make us even prouder.
