Munir Ahmed,  successfully defended his PhD thesis today at Islamia College Peshawar. His research, titled "Civil Society and Democratization in Pakistan (2000–2008)," was supervised by Professor Dr. Younis Khan Pakistan Studies Department Islamia College Peshawar. Internal examiners were Professor Dr. Jehanzeb Khan and Professor Dr. Hamida Bibi from the Department of History & Pakistan Studies, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar.
