Department of chemistry is a leading department of the Universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The department is staffed with 19 outstanding faculty actively involved in research and instruction. The department has been striving hard to impart quality education to the students and to carry out research in the various fields of chemistry, e.g., Orgnometallic, Environmental, Synthetic & Natural Product Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, and Computational Chemistry. A very favorable faculty-to-student ratio encourages close contact between students and their faculty mentors, and allows the mentors to give personalized attention to the academic and research progress of each of their students. Many of our faculty have won prestigious teaching awards. I urge upon the students to be good scientist in chemistry to try to come and join the department undergraduate and postgraduate program. Our undergraduate and graduate programs are designed to provide students with a solid theoretical background in chemistry and to introduce students to the joy of participating in a challenging, creative research program. Our faculty view graduate students as developing investigators and partners in their research enterprises and are committed to their success and development as independent scientists.

Future Goals
Our students are getting MS/PhD admissions in world best ranking universities in Europe, China, South Korea, Australia and USA. We are developing our labs with state of the art scientific research equipment. We plan to sign MOU’s with different world class universities and chemical science centers for research collaborations and transfer of knowledge.
