The Islamia Collegiate School is open to students from the entire N.W.F.P including the adjoining Tribal Areas. Admission is, therefore highly selective and restricted. Preference is, however, given to the Peshawar University Employees' sons. New Admission in Prep Section is restricted to UES where as admission in K.G English Medium is on self support scheme.

            Admission to K.G restricted to the campus residents only whereas admission to class V is made on the basis of an entry test held every year in March. 

Admission in Second Shift is granted in classes (VI-X) on self support scheme but the student will have to pass the entrance test.
