The Vice President of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Mr. Sabir Ahmed Bangash and Islamia College Peshawar have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in research, innovation and academic development.
Under this MoU, both institutions have agreed to:
i. Conduct collaborative R&D work of mutual interest.
ii. Facilitate visits of faculty, staff, and graduate students for research, teaching, discussions, and other related activities.
iii. Exchange academic and research information and material.
iv. Organize seminars, webinars, conferences, workshops and symposiums through mutual understanding.
v. Promote collaboration in fields of mutual interest.
vi. Exchange scientific and technological information.
vii. Undertake joint research projects.
viii. Facilitate bilateral use of research centers and laboratories.
ix. Cooperate in the delivery of courses and programs.
x. Engage in other academic and R&D activities as mutually agreed upon.
Vice Chancellor Islamia College Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Ahmad ur Rahman Saljoqi, termed the event a significant step towards fostering academia-industry linkages and promoting a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship and applied research for the socio-economic development of the region.
Dr. Safeer Ahmad Arbab, Director Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), and Dr. Qasim Mansoor Jalali, Registrar Islamia College Peshawar were also present on the occasion.
